Organizational Information
Purpose of your Position - Non Union | The Fleet Services Supervisor manages the Corporate Vehicle and Equipment Fleet including procurement and maintenance and repair. The supervisor ensures that the most appropriate vehicles and equipment are acquired and maintained in keeping with diverse operational needs, performance requirements, best value, corporate vision and within city financial resources. They also manage the third party parts and service procurement and third party car share program. |

Credentials - Union | |
Knowledge - Non Union | Mechanic Interprovincial Red Seal certification plus, Business Diploma or Certified Fleet Management accreditation and 7 years’ fleet management environment experience. Strong knowledge of the NFPA National Fire Protection Association 1071 Standards for Emergency Vehicle Technician Professional Qualifications. Strong understanding of the Corporate Automated Vehicle Locator (AVL) Management System. Technical knowledge, business management, city policies, departmental budgeting, planning, customer service, vendor negotiations, health and safety regulations and governmental regulations. (e.g. vehicle and equipment repair trades certification; air brake certification, asset management, and several years of extensive knowledge in equipment operations to ensure productivity. |
