Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
Join our Water Supply branch as a Water Supply Operator II to operate, maintain, inspect, monitor and repair the City’s Water Storage, Treatment and Distributions systems. The ideal candidate will bring their hands-on knowledge of computer systems such as SCADA, MMS and Operational Data bases to compile and analyze various systems and equipment reports and documentation. A Diploma in Water Quality or Water Treatment Technology is an asset.
Duties - Union
• Operates, inspects, maintains, monitors and repairs equipment (ultraviolet light disinfection systems, chlorine disinfection systems, pumps, pressure regulators, etc.).
• Utilizes various computer systems (SCADA, MMS, Operational Data Bases, etc.).
• Performs sampling, testing and recording of water quality.
• Inspects and cleans equipment and infrastructure (Provides and responds to enquiries from contractors, engineers, the public and other departments.
• Compiles and/or analyze various systems or equipment reports and/or documentation.
