Organizational Information
Purpose of your Position - Non Union | The Crime Reviewer position provides a quality assurance audit of all police investigational files, along with identifying the accurate and detailed classification of file scoring as required by Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS). The authority, mandated by the Officer in Charge of Kelowna Regional Detachment, is to provide guidance, feedback and corrective direction as required ensuring the file integrity of police investigations. |

Knowledge - Non Union | Must be knowledgeable in Operational Statistical Reporting (OSR), Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR), Criminal Code of Canada, Federal and Provincial statutes, RCMP databases, the RCMP organizational chart, experience and/or background in law enforcement, RCMP administrative and operational policies and procedures. |
Skills & Abilities - Non Union | Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, well developed analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication and inter-personal skills to deal with clients and stakeholders. Must have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations (PowerPoint) relating to training and information sessions. Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team. Strong time management, organization/prioritization skills and above average computer skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance. |
