Purpose of your Position - Non Union | The Court Liaison Officer is the liaison between the RCMP, Provincial and Federal Crown Counsel, all stakeholders of the Criminal Justice System, Municipal Employees, Other Federal and Provincial Agencies and the general public. This position is accountable for the quality assurance of all Reports to Crown Counsel; ensuring paperwork is processed in a timely manner for in-custody prisoners and to capture the disposition in the court file and on the accused person’s fingerprints. |

Knowledge - Non Union | This position requires a law enforcement background and/or extensive experience in a policing environment, sound knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Statutes and maintains currency on case law. Understand the paper flow systems of the Courts and RCMP and have operational experience in JUSTIN (Provincial records management system shared by Courts, Police and Crown Counsel). Knowledge and practical experience in PIRS (Police Information Retrieval System), PRIME (Police Records Information Management Environment), CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre), OSR (Operation Statistical Reporting) and UCR (Uniform Crime Reporting). |
