Purpose of your Position - Non Union
Classification Summary - Union
A Labourer physically assists City work crews.
Duties - Union
Assisting greenhouse staff with the hanging basket and planter program
(includes early morning watering), as well as bedding plants throughout
the City’s parks.
Tasks include but not limited to: Planting, weeding, watering, bending,
kneeling and carrying loads.
Results and Activities - Non union
Credentials - Union
  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience performing general labourer duties
  • Experience in horticulture
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Flexibility and teamwork
  • Driver’s License Class 5
  • A Level II First Aid Certificate would be an asset
